I bought one of those small convection ovens. Best investment I made in a long time seeing as I mostly cook for 2 people. No wasted electricity, minimal clean up. Absolutely recommend it

I have owned the Dash Go Citrus Juicer for many years. It is by far one of the best products I have come across for the kitchen. Really well designed goes both ways with a little pressure you get it turn around opposite and therefore get all the juice out of the fruit. No hassle what so ever to clean, take apart or put together. This is truly a great product, simple, not expensive and works like a real pro and lasts. Could not be better. (By the way I am not easy to please...)

This is the first Houzz article I've read in a while that actually lists some useful, not outrageous and expensive, gadgets. Thank you. I enjoyed it. And, definitely added a few items to my Wish List. ;)

As a trained chef and someone who is in the middle of a kitchen remodel my initial reaction to this article was that too many of these items take up valuable counter or storage space for the amount of use they will get. They only item that made me salivate was the All-Ply stock pot with strainer.

Some good gift ideas I think - but practical advice re: the hand thrown tangine to be used for napkin storage or display "when not in culinary" use. Imagine trying to stowaway that Pinnochio-nosed lid? The colander light would be fabulous in a pantry - fun.

Cooking is a major part of my life as I strongly believe that food is the best medicine. I so appreciate all the great reviews that help make an informed choice. I am really looking forward to using the Escali Scale, Presto Knife Sharpner, and maybe a few more things on this great list! Since I am allergic to shopping, this makes it so much easier to buy essentials.

Love all these ideas! It makes it especially easy to select the photo and be able to price and buy right there instead of having to figure out where to shop for the item!

I bought my son the espresso maker a few years ago for Christmas. He loves it. If he's traveling it goes with him. He never misses his espresso now. He raved about the creme on top of each cup. I got his at Hammacher Schlemmer online. Highly recommend it.

They are all such awesome ideas, even for the not so chef inclined. I suck in the kitchen so anything that makes it easier is great in my books. Now to throw out a giant HINT HINT to the family ;)

Great ideas, and mostly very affordable. I'd add (this is not romantic, but really handy, pun intended) a box of disposable rubber gloves. If you like chiles, you're going to have to handle them, and the burn sneaks up on you and stays a couple of days without gloves.
